Waterless

Sushi King @ Giant SS6

Now Playing : "Worn Me Down" - Rachael Yamagata

Japanese food.

The mere mention of it makes me drool. Yes, I love Japanese food that much.

One problem with Japanese food however, is that it is very expensive and it only makes matters worse if you happen to get into a streak of wanting only Japanese food (which I admit I do quite often hehe). So, in order to curb this, one must settle for cheaper (and significantly and noticably lower quality) means of Japanese food and that outlet is...

Sushi King.

Normally, I don't have any problems with the place. However, tonight as I had dinner there, I had the shock of my life with their new policy;

WATER NOT SERVED.

My jaws dropped! Whaaaaaaaaaaaat??? I found it highly ridiculous for a restaurant to not serve water especially since you could get water even at the most expensive restaurants that you could not afford! It has never been a problem and I always take water whenever I eat at Sushi King so for that sudden implementation of such a ridiculous policy is just beyond me.

To make things worse, the supervisor also could not explain why water wasn't allowed to be served and only said something along the lines of "hot water is too hot".

Huh?!

Since there were no comment cards available, as soon as I got home I jumped online and immediately sent off a complaint to the Sushi King's HQ. As a very regular customer, to be denied of something like water is absolutely unacceptable.

Especially when the supervisor can't give me a valid reason.

Or a reason, for that matter.

And there is just no logic as to why they allow free flow of green tea (which I reckon is definitely not as cheap as water) but no water.
