HAHA!

It seems my jet lag has still got me in a funk, as this whole week I've been waking up much too early for my tastes. Wide awake in the wee hours bored with nothing to do, as per usual the internet is my fwen! I stumbled across this hilarious picture while I was looking around.

2 "karat" ring! XD

Florida trip Pt.5 : The Remaining 3 Disney Parks

Finally we are at our last Florida post!

That's not to say I'm totally thrilled as well, I mean I kinda do like to go on and on and on about my time in Florida because it was just so wonderful (mostly because I got to spend all that time with Phil) and soon I'll be back into the mundaneness of everyday work life. In the meantime, I'll yap about it!

How can anyone visit Disney World and not love Magic Kingdom? It's just so full of happy things and gift shops!!

I've seen three of these in three separate parks and I still want to take a picture of it XD As you can see, there were heaps and heaps of people at the park and long lines were constantly met. Phil and I had to wait up to two hours to get on the Space Mountain ride, but it was well worth it.

Just so you know, he chose a mean-lookin' horsey...!

Haven't I mentioned we went to all of the 3D/4D shows? Don't we look cute? :P

One of the best not-so kiddy rides in MK. If anyone is dying to see Johnny Depp, you can see a life-like robot of him inside...that's gotta be better than nothing, ay?

This place was eerie as heck!!...but it was also one of my favorite attractions and I'd drag Ian and June in there in an instant! FYI, eerie things conjures up very valid reasons to huddle close to the person next to you....*wink*

I don't care what you say, gift shops are part of the attractions at Disney! Here's one I really wanted to buy but didn't knowing the lack of luggage space and already bought giant Shamu and Phil's rolling eyes which screamed "haven't you bought enough giant plushies?!"

No :P

Folks, this is my hotel room.

As if! It's just Mickey's bedroom in which we stumbled upon in Mickey's Toontown.

These guys were actually waiting to go on stage to assist a Jedi teaching class. Armed with a camera, can you really let this photo opportunity go when you're lining up right in front of them? I didn't think so either!

Yensid's Sorceror Hat of Disney's Hollywood Studios, which is sort of like the Silver Globe of Epcot. We watched some performers singing and dancing to High School Musical 2...which darling Phil found hilariously silly but who later was found humming the tune. XD

"Don't I look dashing???" he flutters his eyelashes.

"Oh yes, as much as Elton John does" I smirk.

Phil: "Admit it, I look hawt!"

The famous fake giant tree with animal motifs carved right on to it at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which, FYI, you might well visit a zoo because it sorta is like one...except they have a killer Dinosaur ride and A Bug's Life 3D which is the BEST 3D show of all Disney Parks!

Sue: "Well, I know I look hawt!" :P

Us: "Thanks for taking the time to look at our Florida pictures!"

And thank you, my darling Phil, for making the whole trip special and memorable by simply being there with me.

Florida trip Pt.4 : Epcot - Park so large, it needed its own entry

Disney, finally!

Phil and I actually made it to all of Disney's four theme parks (water parks exlcuded) and I think he's a little proud of that fact LOL! Epcot was undoubtedly our favorite park as there were many things to see (more than to actually ride) and don't even get me started on all the different cuisines to be had! We spent an entire day at Epcot and saw dazzling displays of fireworks at night.

Epcot's famous silver globe greeted us the moment we stepped foot into the park. OK, I lie...actually we could see it from the parking lot. *grins*

Yes, what is a visit to Disney World without donning a pair of (free) Mickey ears?

The China Pavilion

We saw Chinese acrobats and a longish footage about the beauty of China (including Hong Kong) and very certainly saw Feng Shui trinklets. Did not see a Chinese buffet, however. XD

The miniature terracotta army display at the China Pavilion was an interesting exhibit, and it was very much a see-no-touch sort of thing :(

Ah...je'taime Paris! This is part of the France Pavilion where they had shops selling what France is famous for. Can you guess? Perfumes and pastries!!

See what I mean? You can not go to France and not eat an eclair. ;)

This was humongous too, btw.

When in Rome, you eat gelato!! OK, technically, the backdrop of the Italy Pavilion is set in Venice, but come on, I wanted to use that line :P Unfortunately, Phil moaned it wasn't authentic gelato. Honestly, I wouldn't know the difference :P

BRATWURST, SAUERKRAUT, MUSTARD BUN!!

This was the highlight of the Germany Pavilion--or Epcot, as far as I was concerned because this was the best bratwurst-sauerkraut-mustard combination I have ever, ever, ever, ever had the pleasure of stuffing into my mouth!! Oooh! I'd go back just for it!

Do you see the size of that thing?!?!?

(Still in the Germany Pavilion, btw)

In Meh-hee-koh, we drink Margaritas and eat long, long churros! Damn right!! As much as I hate cinnamon, the churros was aweeeeesome! Don't ask what I was doing holding his hand commando style.

In (the) Japan (Pavilion), you get sushi and Pokemon aaaaand....wine with real gold flakes. I'm not kidding and that's why I took this picture so you can't prove otherwise mwuahahah! This was amazing, and I was tempted to buy it, as useless as it can be for me :P Personally, I'd rather wear that gold, if you know what I mean ;)

When in Norway---hey, who messed up my Viking helmet?!

(It was the guy below *grr!*)

Phil: "Mmmmmmmmmm!"

I kinda forgot what that cocktail was.

Florida trip Pt.3 : Orlando parks that are not owned by Disney

While in Florida, Phil and I made our way up north to Orlando where all the famous theme parks were. Disney, Universal, Sea World, the works! However, I took waaaay too many pictures during my trips to Disney so that'll be in another post.

Meanwhile, enjoy!

The view from our hotel was amazing! As you can see, at the far end of the picture is just part of the loooong stretch of hotels, theme parks, water parks and a gazillion restaurants. This is just on the left hand side of my view as you can see Universal Studios on the right...in another picture.

Although we didn't go to this exhibit, obviously I just had to get a shot of this upside down building. This is just high up on the coolness list.

Universal Studios!!...and quite possibly the smallest of all aforementioned three parks! Our visit to this place was a very, very wet one as it rained non-stop although not very heavy for the most part.

The World's Largest Hard Rock Cafe! Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to dine there as it was not a meal time when we came across it. Plus it was raining and we haven't yet explored Islands of Adventure ;)

Awesome, awesome ride. Also a little creepy.

It's a new The Simpsons ride, just incase you didn't know. This was one of the best rides we went on (Phil turned green at the sight of roller coasters *boo*) and was actually, ironically, a simulator roller coaster!

Back to the Future's DeLorean; a Universal Studios staple. Saw one in California's Universal Studios when I visited that many years back.

Oh yeah, did I mention that we went on all the 3D/4D rides? This was probably one of the best!

Sea World and its "bigger than Miami Seaquarium's tank". Beautiful tank and they've also got quite a few more killer whales here.

Just another picture of a performing killer whale, this time at Sea World.

"Memememememe!"

One of the best attractions at Sea World was the dolphin feeding/petting enclosure. Naturally, there was a very, very long line to purchase fish to feed the dolphins but it was well worth it as we got to pet them.

"Me first!"

Yes, I did. I bought that plushy. I couldn't resist! It was just too big not to buy it :(

Florida trip Pt.2 : Miami/Ft.Lauderdale parks

I just realized that Part 1 was full of pictures with food in them. I originally wanted to include the below pictures in the first post as they share geographic similarities but decided not to after realizing it would make the post just too darn long.

Here are just some pictures of us going to "smaller" and lesser known parks (compared to Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World). Enjoy!

"You take right..."

"...and I'll take left!"

Going to a safari which required you to remain in your car is awesome. We got to see plenty of animals without being separated by fences or cages (well, mostly the "safe" herbivores anyway) and also had the privilege of seeing some of them up close--which made for perfect pictures. This giraffe was very near our car when this was taken without a zoom.

Thankfully, all the visitors adhered to the Drive Slow rule. I wonder if Malaysian drivers would do the same?

Was this what they had in mind when the term "Zebra Crossing" was coined?

You have no idea how long we had to wait for this critter to cross the road. XD

One of the main attractions at the Safari was the opportunity to feed giraffes. Hmm, come to think of it, so do most zoos. Anyhoo, here's one of Phil feeding one and...

...here's one of me looking all spazzed while feeding another giraffe!

"This small aquarium has a killer whale!!" exclaimed June. Aha, but they just have one! *smiles* Nowhere near as large as Sea World, the Miami Seaquarium was still a nice place to visit even though it rained a lot while we were there.

You can't see it, but we were beaming to ourselves at how lucky we were to not have sat in the whale's mega wet zone :D
