Grindhouse

Now Playing : "Jet Song" - Oscar Peterson Trio

As per usual, a review of said movie can be found here.

Grindhouse: Death Proof.

Quentin Tarantino.

All I can say is...

AWESOME!!!

I finally got round to watching Death Proof after borrowing it from Edmond today and it totally blew me away! I absolutely love it (although I did find the ending somewhat much) and I literally couldn't take my eyes off the actors who did such excellent jobs! Kurt Russell--that name speaks for itself and also, I like Rose McGowan a whole lot so that made the movie just a little bit better! *wink*

I started watching this movie with high expectations that it was definitely going to be good--it's not normal to expect anything less with Mr. Tarantino's skills anyway--and I was not disappointed. Death Proof is the only other Tarantino movie I've watched besides Pulp Fiction (and a little bit of Kill Bill Vol.1's beginning due to a bad, scratchy disc). Why haven't I watched the likes of Kill Bill, Hostel and Turistas? I'm not a fan of gore and have been rather *afraid* of watching them. And I definitely have heard that the latter two fall under the ultra-gore, vomit inducing sort and is a gazillion times more gory than Saw (which I did watch, but not its sequels). I just can't take really violent and gory movies. Ugh.

Still, back on Grindhouse, now that I've watched Death Proof, I can't wait to get my hands on Planet Terror--which isn't by Quentin Tarantino but comes with the Grindhouse package and also Rose McGowan's in it.

With a machine gun leg.

Who'd want to miss that?!
