Now Playing : "Everything" - Lifehouse
Someone called her name.
She did not turn to look. His voice told her who he was. It was just his footsteps.
"What are you doing out here?" she asked softly, but in her head she was screaming. You're the last person I want to see!!! And yet, she had wanted him to come.
"Lousy music." he joked, a faint smile played on the side of his lips.
She turned around to look at him. He saw her face; wet from trickling tears which he caused. Just tell him to go away. That annoying little voice in her head was saying everything her pounding heart wasn't. No longer was the deafening music being played but now Lifehouse's "Everything"--which made him standing there looking at her, hoping for something and her, sitting there looking at him, struggling with conscience, seem even worse.
He reached out a hand to her.
"Dance on the dock with me?"
Yes!!!! She paused not for a moment before slipping her hand into his. Fire.
She stood up close to him, her bare feet making him seemingly taller. He held her close as he lead her to sway gently to the haunting voice. She closed her eyes, letting herself drown in his intoxicating presence. His skin touching hers, never letting go.
Then their lips met. He kissed her.
Fire. Fire. Fire. FIRE!
Don't say a word, please.
Right here, right now. It was perfect.
Recent events have suddenly inspired me to write this. Not sure if I'm satisfied with it, but since I haven't written anything for over two years, I suppose this is an improvement. Jules, I am *not* joining NaNoWriMo no matter how much you beg! Mwuahahaha! I could never write a sci-fi story like you though. *wink*
