Clutter

Now Playing : "Rhapsody In Blue" - George Gershwin

So today I cleaned up my room. Again.

Most of you probably already know that this is nothing new. There have been several posts over the last three years of my blogging dedicated solely to the cleaning up my war zone mess of a room. Heck, I think I even provided pictures at some point.

This time, no pictures...and I only took two hours this time. Rejoice! Being done with uni and having pretty much done nothing really productive (unless you count shopping), it was high time for another cleaning. Okok, you got me. My aunt and uncle are coming to stay with us tomorrow and I have to get this mess sorted out anyway. Meh.

As usual, post cleaning, I'm quite happy to say that all the unnecessary junk has been shoved into the bin and am left with a clean neat room--at least for now. Do I dare ask how long will it take this time for another bomb to hit? Nah, it doesn't matter because eventually it will and the whole cycle shall repeat itself. Also, I wonder if this is the last time I might have a room to clean up, seeing how now that my brother is getting older I'm going to have to be the unfortunate one to relinquish my small room to him.

Either way, I am going to bask in the wonderful feeling of having such an uncluttered room for now.

I've got the power!

(Photo: Inky Circus)

Now Playing : "That's The Way (My Love Is)" - Smashing Pumpkins

I blame it wholly on Malaysia's weather.

And the equator.

And global warming.

And consumerism.

What am I talking about? My ultra-high electric bill.

That's right, I'm talkin' bout seven hundred ninety-five worth of electricity spent this month just to wallow and escape from the perils of hawt, humid Malaysian weather. Of course, I never expected to rack up eight hundred bucks worth of electricity at home doing this.

Needless to say, el capitan isn't very happy about my perpetual need to avoid sweating like a pig (whom I know don't have sweat glands so blame the lot who cooked up this idiom). Totally understandable, since this is coming from a guy who sleeps in an eskimo suit in a tropical country.

So now I've got to try to adhere from pressing the On switch as often as I should like. "Try" being the operative word here. Someone hold me back. No no don't!

Cuz I'll scream and wail for my air conditioning!*

Where's My Sugar Sugar?

Now Playing : "Dance of the Mirlitons" - Tchaikovsky

They're all gone!!! *sob!*

This, is a picture of my sister's room bookshelf. See that empty lookin' third compartment there? Ladies and gentlemen, that space used to hold sixteen years worth of Archie Comics!! Now they're all gone--all because of a stupid air-conditioner which kept on breaking down and leaking an ocean ruined them all without our knowledge! Bah, this is such a tearful moment! *Sniff!* Our huge Archie Comics collection just wiped out in an instant because we had no choice but to throw them away due to the mold that grew on them when the a/c leaked water somehow managed to seep through the entire shelf and into them!

Garrr! If I knew this would happen, I'd most certainly have taken them away and put them in a safe and dry spot! Now, everytime I look at that sad, empty shelf, my heart just pangs with woe to think that sixteen years worth of comics used to sit there, proud of having lasted with us for so long!

I'm going to miss them...
