Sunway Pyramid
Now Playing : "Friends" - Ryan Adams
It's no secret that I really don't like going into Sunway (and Sunway Pyramid) due to its congested location and traffic jams. However, if someone offers to drive me then I don't mind so much.
Today, I had to make a trip to Sunway Pyramid and found out that they were building more parking lots. Although I applaud this, it was quite a big hassle not knowing how to get into the mall because their elevators and staircases were not yet opened up to the public. What made it worse was when we finally did find the way to the mall, it was a very long walk and the flood of people made the wait for the four elevators seem like an eternity.
Yeah, I really don't like going to Sunway.
Still, that wasn't the most unpleasant part of the trip today. As I was queueing (sp?) up to pay for my parking ticket, a guy in front of me had some problems in retrieving his change and the ticket. So naturally, he had to deal with the help coming through the intercom and thus, the line grew longer behind them.
It was no big deal, I could wait since I thought the problem would probably resolve quite quickly and if it didn't, I'd just go over to the next line. Like I said, it's not a big deal. However, there was this one super-impatient stout woman behind me who simply OVERTOOK me (and brushing against me in the process--ugh!!!) and demanded what the problem was!! The guy explained that there was some problem in retrieving the ticket and change but this seemed to have just gone over the woman's head when she said...
"can you let me go first???"
Eh woman, did you not hear them that there was a problem with the machine? Also, what makes you think that I'd let you go first--after me, you're only the third person in line! Surely you noticed that it's not only you who is waiting to pay?? I was completely disgusted by this woman's attitude.
So, I just left the line and hopped into the one right next to me, where my mother was already queuing up on my behalf after noticing there was a problem with the machine. The woman did the same, but after a quick peek on my part, I saw that she had to go right to the end of the very long line. Hah! Try asking someone to let you go first now! It amazes me really, how people can become when they're inconvenienced even by the slightest.
However, today's trip wasn't entirely lost as we bought this product called Choya Umeshu Plum Wine aperitif which after a sample tasting, tasted *so* delicious! The best part is that you could add it to other drinks! We bought the largest size bottle for only RM109.90 and I'm already itching to open it up! Unfortunately, the head of the house has put her foot down saying that it can only be drank during special occassions. Bleh. I'd most certainly recommend this to anyone!
