A cheesy situation

Here is an actual conversation I just had with a McDonald's phone-in-order operator.

McD : Welcome to McDonald's, how may I help you?

Me : I would like to make an order.

McD : What would you like to order?

Me : I would like to order two double cheeseburgers, and make them plain. ("Plain" cheeseburgers in McD universally refers to omitting the tomato sauce, onions and pickles).

McD : Plain. (Pauses) Do you want cheese?

Me : What??

McD : Do you want cheese in your cheeseburgers?

Me : (With a huge amount of self-control to not become sarcastic and a not-so-genuine chuckle) Well, if the cheeseburgers didn't have cheese in them, they wouldn't be called cheeseburgers, would they?

McD : (Long pause) So...do you want cheese?

*faints*
