Home
Well, I'm back home again.
Interesting things have happened during this trip.
Experienced a snow storm...
Ate more pizzas to last a lifetime...
Got a shiny rock on my finger...
Rode a gondola...
Experienced bitter cold weather...
Right now, I'm not really in the mood to blog as I'm missing P too much.
So here are two photo albums for you to view of my trip.
Enjoy.

Prego!
By the time you folks read this, I'll *finally* be on a plane to Venice, Italy.
I will be spending Christmas and New Year's with Phil, so as usual, you'll get pictorial updates either along the way or when I get back on January 3rd.
'Till then, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!
And specially, Happy Birthday to Darren, whose birthday I'll sadly miss this year. I hope you have a good one!

Roooooma!
It's only been two months since my trip to Florida and I'm already thinking--admittedly, somewhat obsessively--about my next one. You know, the journey there (have I mentioned I love being on planes?) and all the new experiences I'll have.
In short, I can't wait to spend Christmas in Rome, Italy!!
It's still a looong way ahead, no need to remind me of that tiny detail but what makes this trip exciting and different from Florida is that I'm looking forward to being in a place where I'm out of my element--language.
Language has never been an issue with all my previous overseas trips I've ever taken, even when I went to Hong Kong because heck, I know I could depend on my parents to speak the lingo. All my talking basically done for me :P
I've read that in more popular touristy areas in Italy such as Rome and Venice, the people speak English but I wonder if I might be forced to speak some Italian (hah! as if I could!)... after all, I won't have my parents to help me out and although Phil's been stationed in Italy for the last er, well long enough! he hasn't learned a lick of Italian so he'll be no use at all *wink*
If some of you remember, I took an Italian 101 class while I was still in university. I really, really wish I had paid attention in class because I can't remember 99% of what I learned! If I knew I was *ever* going to visit Europe, much less Italy, I would have at least remembered some basic phrases and numbers hahah! I think I shall dig around in my room and hope I kept my Italian notes and quickly brush up on a phrase or two ;)
I've always heard of Rome being a beautiful city but never really bothered about it. So, being bored I Flickr'd the city and found so many wonderful pictures of Rome and being fascinated by photography, they were even more so!
Check it out here.

Hot and Sunny Florida!
Hello everyone!!
Yours truly has been having a blast in Florida and got her eyes all twinkly from the insane amount of shopping possibilities and great food!
Sorry I haven't found much time to blog, so the picture of Miami is just a little snippet for you before I get home and post more pictures.
Hmm...speaking of pictures, I haven't been taking enough!
Maybe I'll take a million more when I'm in Orlando and won't have to be afraid of looking like a tourist HAHAHA!
Love, Me.

Landed
If you see this post, it means that yours truly has landed finally in Newark and is still unable to navigate myself towards an internet equipped computer ;)
See y'all in Florida!

I'm Off! I'm Off!!
Well folks, I'm finally off on my long awaited holiday to Florida!
By the time this is posted, I'll be boarding and parking my butt on a big-ass plane for hours and hours and hours to come.
Wish me luck getting there safely!
(I'm sooo glad I snapped this picture in Hong Kong, I can finally use it!)

Meh
I've got nothing interesting to blog about.
I guess you've noticed too, huh? Do I blame my job? Nah, not really but it does play its part a little. Spending so much time at the work place, you probably wouldn't like the idea of coming home only to blog about your day and all you can talk about is...well, work! Work is still going fine, btw :P
Next month should draw for better and more interesting posts, however. Not only does yours truly have a graduation to attend but will also be going on a (very, long overdue) trip to Florida *woot woot!* With an entire month off work, I'm pretty sure I'll have some other things to talk about--and much more interesting, at that!
Oh and of course, a trip means a heaping sack of pictures!
Yesh, I am soooo going to look like a tourist.

Singapore
Now Playing : "Tragic Mirror" - Sondre Lerche
Yes, yes I know. Before you say it, yes, my blog will be post-less (again) until Saturday. Early tomorrow morning, I shall embark on four fun filled days in Singapore! By "fun filled", naturally I mean I'm going to do absolutely nothing but mall hop all over Singapore! Sentosa? Pfft, too many times! Zoo? Ditto. The best part is that I'm going to be doing (most of) this all on my own and I am really looking forward to it since whenever I do my shopping I am never on my own. Not that I am complaining, but it'll be a nice change.
Won't be taking any pictures this time around. I would feel mighty pathetic camwhoring all over Singapore on my own ;)
Have a good week y'all.

Cameron Highlands
I just returned from a wonderful short trip to Cameron Highlands and let me just say that if you thought Frazer's Hill or Genting Highlands are cold, you probably wouldn't want to go to Cameron Highlands because it was freakin' cold up there at 16 degrees! Since C.H is located near the peak of a mountain, there were plenty of opportunities for me to finally put some use in to my camera's macro function and I went into a snapping frenzy with all the splendid flora around! I took nearly 200 pictures, but here are just some of my favorites (not including the ones with family). I must say I'm quite proud of these *blush*

Hotel Room Sabotages
Beds!Now Playing : "Honey" - Tosca
I'm back, folks!
I think I may need a holiday to recuperate from this holiday. My trip to PD wasn't as relaxing as I hoped it would be for a number of ridiculous reasons, although I won't go as far to say that it wasn't an okay holiday as well.
First off, our two hotel rooms were not adjoining and to get to the other room, we'd have to run up and down four flights of stairs. This being a family holiday, I didn't feel as though we had spent it being as a family when we retired to our separate rooms.
The biggest peeve I had with the hotel is that our toilet got clogged up and by the time it was 3AM, it was overflowing! That being said and being so late at night, I spent the first night with my entire right arm submerged in the toilet bowl trying to unclog the damn thing with a hotel-supplied toothbrush! Good thing it paid off--when I went to check in the morning, it was finally unclogged! Of course, our toilet seemed to like sabotaging us because later the tap produced no hot water!
The room was also not thoroughly cleaned, as I found bits of hair trapped under the legs of the bedside table. The extra blanket and small pillows reeked of old furniture smell and was dusty! Also, Jules and I got locked out from the room because as we opened the door, the loose metal latch caught on the door! It's a good thing that June was in the room at that time or else we'll have some major hard time getting back in!

This is pretty minor, but I've decided to include it in the list anyway. In the lobby, I saw several people with laptops and wondered if there was a wi-fi service available. So I went to a female staff person to ask and she said "no". So fine, I didn't think about it after that. Then on the last night, my dad shows me this small sign at the concierge counter saying that there indeed was a free wi-fi service!! Talk about not training your Legend Hotel staff properly! Terrible!
Also, we paid a visit to the ostrich farm but to our dismay, the maintenance of the place has dwindled drastically and all the poor animals looked quite absymal. I could be totally wrong about this if it was molting season though *blush*. From the looks of it, the park doesn't seem to be able to generate enough revenue to properly maintain the place and this is really not good, especially for the animals.
Anyone spot what's wrong with the picture above? We couldn't believe it when we saw it while we were walking alongside the beach yesterday. I'm not sure if this person knows that the Nazi flag is universally sensitive but to put it up at a toy stall is preposterous! I've got a feeling that whoever put it up must think it's cool to do so. *Eurk!*
Hopefully the next holiday I take would have better memories for me to take home.

Sand! Sun! Beach!
Port Dickson Legend Water Chalets
I'm ready and all packed to go.
I can't wait to try out the above water chalets, as I have heard they are very nice! Also, I reckon this short weekend trip to Port Dickson would be our last holiday for a long time to come as this semester we are given like, NO holidays this semester. Cis!
Don't miss me too much ya, I'll be back on Sunday.
Until then, drive safely!
Love, Me.

07.07.07
Now Playing : "My Blue Heaven" - Smashing Pumpkins
*Points a finger at you*
What are *you* doing today?
Some are getting married. Some are attending weddings. Some think it's a lucky day for love. Some will probably feed the beast. Some are going shopping. Some are going on a holiday. Some buy a new dog. Some go for a big buffet lunch or dinner at some posh hotel. Some go drinking. Some think it's the end of the world.
Me?
I'm doing pretty much nothing.
Okay, scratch that. I won't be doing nothing.
I'll be babysitting.
Not exactly how I envisioned spending 07.07.07--I would very much prefer to go out for dinner and drinks with some friends but hey, what can you do I guess!
